Obama to meet Pakistan PM Yusuf Raza Gilani

President Obama and Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani will meet in Seoul next week, their first face-to-face discussion since Osama bin Laden’s death, Reuters reported.
The world leaders will meet after the world nuclear security summit in South Korea ends.
“The meeting will be an opportunity for the United States and Pakistan to continue high-level consultations on areas of mutual interest,” a White House statement said, according to Reuters.

Obama and Gilani are to discuss security in Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Washington Post said. Ending the Afghan war and discussions with Taliban leaders are also on the agenda, the Post said.
“In particular, the president looks forward to reviewing our efforts to support an Afghan-led reconciliation process, and to pursue an end-state in the region that advances security and prosperity,” the White House statement said.
The US military killed bin Laden during a nighttime raid at his Pakistan compound, angering leaders there.
Then, in November, US warplanes accidentally killed 24 Pakistani soldiers, AFP reported.
Pakistan is looking for an end to US drone strikes in the nation.
