After being arrested yesterday in connection with new sex abuse accusations that include "four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor," Jerry Sandusky posted $250,000 bail today.

According to CNN, the former assistant coach of Penn State was released from Centre County, Pa., Correctional Facility. He will be put under house arrest while wearing a monitoring device. He's also restricted from coming into contact with "alleged victims, possible witnesses, and must be supervised during any interactions with minors."

The money, reported The Washington Post, came from his wife, Dorothy, who had put up $200,000 in real estate property and a $50,000 certified check. Sandusky remained at the correctional facility as of late morning.

The warden, Edward DeSabato, told The Associated Press that Sandusky was quiet and cooperative during his stay.

According to CNN, Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly said in a statement: "Today's criminal charges were recommended by a statewide investigating grand jury, based on evidence and testimony that was received following the initial arrest of Sandusky on November 5th."

At 8:30 a.m. on December 13, Sandusky will face a preliminary hearing on his original charge of 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight of his victims, as well as these new charges. The Washington Post reported that his alleged victims are scheduled to testify, making it the first time Sandusky will face his accusers in a courtroom.

In total, Sandusky faces more than 50 charges among 10 victims. He still maintains his innocence on all these charges.
