Brunei helicopter crash kills 12; two survivors remain

A helicopter carrying military personnel has crashed in Brunei, killing 12 people, Reuters reported.

Two people survived the crash of the Royal Brunei Air Force helicopter that went down near Kulala Belait, west of the capital Bandar Seri Begawan.

"While the exact circumstances of this tragic incident remain to be determined, the ministry of defense is taking appropriate action to ascertain the facts," the defense ministry said, BBC reported

Sultan Hassanal Boliah visited the two cadets who survived the crash.

CNN reported that all person on board the aircraft have been accounted for. 

Brunei is a sultanate on the island of Borneo.
