24 Tennessee courthouses receive bomb threats

Bomb threats have forced 24 courthouses in Tennessee to evacuate today, the Associated Press reported. A spokeswoman for the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security said no arrests have been made. The threats were made by telephone to court clerk offices. 

"It's been going on all morning," the spokesman told the AP.

No bombs were found and emergency workers had searched and cleared 14 of the buildings by 2:00 pm, WATE reported. Similar bomb threats have been reported across the United States in recent weeks.

The AP reported last week that Oregon state courthouses had received 28 bomb threats.
