The videos below were uploaded on Youtube on May 17th by user 3ayeef and show burnt out vehicles and buildings in Deraa. However the descriptions state that they were taken around May 8 this year. We cannot confirm that this date is accurate. The videos have been assessed by our partners at BBC Monitoring who say:
The correct translation would be “aftermath of destruction in Deraa after the invasion”.
The first video shows a sign on a burned car saying “Free, Free Deraa”.
The second video ads on the wall says “Al-Nawras Taxi company,” our search confirms “Al-Nawras car rental” company is in Deraa.
