Tomorrow isn’t just Super Tuesday, it’s also Mardi Gras. And Margaret Brown is a filmmaker, originally from Mobile, Alabama – where they’ve have been celebrating Carnival and Mardi Gras even longer than the folks in New Orleans. In Mobile, the festivities are largely segregated along racial lines. Margaret Brown went back to her hometown and made a documentary about this parade- and bead- and music-filled holiday – a film called “The Order of Myths” that explores the line between tradition and plain old racism.
