South African musician Bakithi Kumalo is back on the road again with Paul Simon this summer playing tunes from Simon’s vast catalogue. Kumalo is known for his bass playing and can be heard all over Paul Simon’s seminal album “Graceland.” You might know Kumalo’s famous riff on the hit tune “You Can Call Me Al.” So, it’s a good opportunity for Marco Werman to revisit his conversation last year with Kumalo when the duo was on tour at the time.
