The 80th anniversary of the Holocaust, Yom Hashoah, was April 24. There are approximately 245,000 Holocaust survivors still alive today. While it’s a sad truth that soon there will be no living Holocaust survivors, it’s estimated that there are around 1 million third-generation Holocaust survivors in the United States. As The World Sarah Birnbaum reports, it’s falling on them to keep the stories of their grandparents and the holocaust alive.
