This week, the Trump Administration announced sanctions against Colombians involved in hiring out mercenaries to the Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary group fueling Sudan’s civil war that the US says is involved in genocide. But this isn’t the first time Colombian soldiers for hire have cropped up in a conflict zone.
