Controversy in France over ‘bee killer’ pesticide

The reintroduction of a pesticide called Acetamiprid has spawned the largest citizen signature campaign in French history: More than 2 million people have joined a call to keep the pesticide off farms. Years of research shows that Acetamiprid can devastate honeybee colonies. But the French government has reversed the ban anyway, under pressure from some farmers. The World’s Gerry Hadden brings us the story from southeast France.
