The global nongovernmental organization Transparency International has just released its 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). Its findings are sobering: 47 countries out of the 180 it surveyed had their lowest score last year since 2012. What’s more, there’s increasing concern that corruption is adversely affecting efforts to combat climate change.
