This week, the Pacific island nation of Samoa is playing host to this year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Fifty-six member countries are discussing topics like global economics, the environment and “security challenges.” One thing that isn’t up for discussion: reparations for countries affected by the Atlantic slave trade — at least if the United Kingdom has its way.
