G7 promises Ukraine a $50 billion loan

At a summit in southern Italy, G7 nations have agreed to provide Ukraine with a loan of $50 billion for weapons and rebuilding. Host Marco Werman teases out the message these leaders are trying to send to Ukraine in a conversation with Edward Fishman of Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy. He’s the author of the forthcoming book “Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare.”
