West African countries adopt new strategies to encourage vaccination

Supply has finally caught up with demand for the COVID-19 vaccine around the world. Now that there’s access, countries in West Africa are trying new methods to convince people to get the jab, although the impact of COVID-19 in those regions appears to have been less than other parts of the world. Ridwan Karim Dini-Osman reports from Sierra Leone and Ghana on why those case and death counts could be deceptive, and how health officials are taking vaccination drives directly to the people. This story was reported with funding from the Pulitzer Center.
