Despite its impressive slate of Oscar nominations, the new “All Quiet on the Western Front” adaptation is being panned by some German critics, who say the film strays too far from the source material and doesn’t justify a third remake of the classic German book. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks to Berlin cultural correspondent Andreas Kilb, who writes for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung about his talk on the movie. They also discuss whether or not any film that depicts war can truly be “anti-war.”
