With the midterm elections tomorrow, Republican and Democratic candidates for office in Texas have spent millions of dollars in Spanish-language advertising. They’ve recognized the importance of Latino voters, both Spanish- and English-speaking, who now make up a third of the electorate in Texas. Elizabeth Trovall, of the Houston Chronicle, talked to voters from ages 19 to 84 about the range of issues they’re concerned about.
