Sonora highliners find balance hundreds of feet in the sky

A small but growing group of extreme athletes in Sonora, Mexico, are pushing themselves to new heights. And they’re doing it with a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. They’re highliners. If you haven’t heard of it, think tightrope walking, but with lines strung between two high points — or in this case, steep cliffs.
