Since the Jan. 6 invasion of the US Capitol in support of Donald Trump, the far-right group the Proud Boys have been in an uncomfortable spotlight. Several members were arrested in connection with the attack. In February, the Canadian government became the first country to designate the Proud Boys as a terrorist group. As The World’s Rupa Shenoy reports, that appears to have had an impact: the Proud Boys have announced that they’re disbanding.
