In the Central Asian country of Kazakhstan, protests continue to escalate as the nation recedes into chaos. In Almaty, Kazakhstan’s biggest city, there have been reports of the military shooting at protesters in the city’s main square, resulting in multiple casualties. Today, Russian troops are reportedly being deployed into Kazakhstan to quell the unrest. Host Carol Hills speaks with Torokul Doorov, the Kazakh service director at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
