Pakistan sentences ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan and wife to 14 years in prison

A court in Pakistan ordered former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, to serve long prison terms. It was the second sentence Khan received in two days related to corruption charges. Pakistan is holding elections in less than two week’s time and the ruling could impact the vote. The World’s co-host Carolyn Beeler speaks with Amber Shamsi, a Pakistani political commentator, about the reaction from Khan’s supporters to today’s sentencing, as well as what this means for democracy in Pakistan.
