In recent years, some 2 million Venezuelans have resettled in neighboring Colombia. They wanted to escape economic and political turmoil back home. Many of them have obtained Colombian citizenship and they’re rebuilding their lives there. But in January, more than 40,000 people suddenly lost their legal status. That creates all kinds of problems, as Manuel Rueda reports from Bogotá.
