New novel, ‘A Spell of Good Things,’ explores the inner lives and struggles of young Nigerians

In her new book, “A Spell of Good Things,” author Ayòbámi Adébáyò follows the lives of two young Nigerians who are struggling to figure out their futures. The author explores the ways young people are caught between their own desires and the pressures of society and expectations of family. The World’s host Marco Werman speaks to Adébáyò about her book and this week’s elections in Nigeria, which have roiled the country.
