Japanese company tries — and fails — to send a spacecraft to the moon

A Japanese company hoping to land a small spacecraft on the moon has had a major setback. The company — called ispace — lost contact with its moon-lander on Tuesday, after the lander ran out of fuel. But despite the latest development, this moon mission was not necessarily a total failure. The World’s Anna Kusmer reports on the state of this new chapter in the global space race.
