Mary Robinson was the first female president of Ireland in in the 1990s. Later, she became the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights. In recent years, she’s been chair of “The Elders,” a group founded by Nelson Mandela, with a simple mandate: to share wisdom and experience to help solve the world’s toughest problems.
