Iraq is hosting the Gulf Arab Cup — the first international soccer tournament in four decades. The tournament features eight teams and is being hosted in Basra. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Hamzeh Hadad, a visiting fellow with the European Council on Foreign Relations, about why this is exciting for so many Iraqis.
