The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is upping its commitments in the fight against climate change. It’s setting a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by the end of the decade. The IOC is doing this through the Olympic Forest Project, and within three years, officials say the Olympics will actually be removing more carbon from the air than it emits.
