How the debate over giving Biden Communion may impact the world

Catholic leaders in the US have suggested they may issue a statement when they meet next month on whether President Joe Biden should be able to receive Communion or not. A Pew survey in March found that nearly 70% of US Catholics agree that Biden’s stance on abortion shouldn’t determine whether he receives Communion. But as The World’s Rupa Shenoy reports, the fact that conservative bishops are debating this may have more of an impact outside the US.
