Hot weather fuels online speech, new study says

For decades, scientists have shown that hot weather results in more physical violence in society. But a new study shows that phenomenon exists online as well. Annika Stechemesser is a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. Her group assessed billions of tweets and found that hot temperatures resulted in more hate speech. The World’s Anna Kusmer explains.
