Florida hurricane intensifies rapidly

Hurricane Idalia is expected to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday. Coastal communities along Florida’s western coast are preparing for a Category 3 hurricane, with wind speeds reaching up to 125 miles per hour. The World’s Marco Werman spoke with Gabriel Vecchi, a climate scientist at Princeton University, about the reasons behind the intensification and how this is becoming much more common.
