Cyclone Freddy is the longest-lived tropical storm and it’s still going

Cyclone Freddy formed in the Indian Ocean on Feb. 6 and now it’s spinning into the history books as the longest-lived tropical storm in recorded history: 33 days and still counting. Freddy has already hit Madagascar and Mozambique, and it’s hurtling back towards Mozambique, again. To understand this weather phenomenon, The World’s Carol Hills speaks to Jeff Masters, meteorologist at Yale Climate Connections.
