Yesterday, we ran a story about Portugal’s Golden Visa Program. The story gave the impression that foreigners can still purchase homes in popular areas, such as Lisbon, in order to qualify. But that part of the program ended on Jan. 1 of this year. Home buyers would have to purchase an older property in a rural area in order to be eligible for a Portuguese residency card. We apologize that this was not clearly stated.
