The syrup has been linked to pharmaceutical manufacturers in India. The World’s Marco Werman discusses the story with Dinesh Thakur, a former pharmaceutical executive in India who became a whistleblower after he revealed that his company was violating safety regulations. Thakur is author of the book, “The Truth Pill: The Myth of Drug Regulation in India.”
