The last day of the Chinese New Year is known as the Lantern Festival, when the lanterns light up the streets and dazzle young children. These days, most of the lights are made with plastic and powered by batteries. The World’s Rebecca Kanthor visits Li Jianguo, one of the last artisans making them out of bamboo and paper, and lit by candles.
