China has released the first photographs taken from its rover on the surface of the red planet four days after landing its first spacecraft on Mars. China has now become only the third nation to touch down safely on Mars. The Zhurong rover is equipped with several instruments to study Mars including gaining an understanding of the distribution of ice.
