Caste discrimination in California

This month, lawyers representing lower-caste workers who were building a temple for a Hindu group in New Jersey, filed suit, claiming they were forced to work for fewer than $2 an hour. It’s one of a handful of lawsuits driving a push in California to add caste to anti-discrimination policies. The World’s Rupa Shenoy reports.
