A coup in Myanmar 

Myanmar’s military has seized power in a coup. The takeover happened before dawn, with politicians taken from their homes and detained. That includes the leading politician in the country, Aung San Suu Kyi, who has been deposed. The military now has total control, saying it will rule the country for up to one year.
