The real-life hero from ‘Hotel Rwanda’ is out of prison

Paul Rusesabagina, the man portrayed in the Hollywood film “Hotel Rwanda” by actor Don Cheadle, has been freed from prison in Kigali. Two years ago, Rusesabagina was sentenced to 25 years behind bars on terrorism charges. Many at the time said the trial was a farce. After facing pressure from the Biden administration, the 68-year-old former resident of Texas was released by presidential order.
