Ahead of Kenya’s upcoming presidential election, Facebook is failing to detect hate speech that could fuel political violence in the country. That’s the conclusion from two nonprofits who conducted a study of hate speech appearing on Facebook. A government agency is now warning that the platform could be suspended if they don’t do better.
