With Tony awards upon us, we check in on some of Broadway’s best. A revival of August Wilson’s “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone” is up for six Tonys, but has caused controversy with the choice of a white director. Wilson’s widow says that critics have misunderstood Wilson’s position.
