Australian inquiry finds First Nations’ infants being removed from mothers at high rate

A review commissioned by the New South Wales government reports that authorities have been taking newborn Aboriginal children from their mothers in “flawed” and “unethical” ways. Some have been removed without warning, shortly after their birth. The World’s Sarah Birnbaum looks into why this is happening.
