The Acadmey of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 2012 Academy Awards this morning, including those for Best Foreign Language Film. This year's nominees hail from as far as Iran and as close as Canada, and tackle an eclectic array of subject matter. Among them is the Iranian Golden Globe winner from the same category "A Separation," which portrays the marital issues of a couple and its repercussions. The other four films nominated are: "Bullhead" (Belgium), "Footnote" (Israel), "In Darkness" (Poland), and "Monsieur Lazhar" (Canada).
