Someone out there loves Col. Gaddafi and that someone is in Russia.
Boris Yakemenko, an ideologist for youth movement Nashi and the brother of its leader, has taken to his blog to praise Col. Gaddafi for his violent crackdown on protestors in Libya.
“Libyan leader Col. M. Gaddafi has shown the whole world how to treat provocateurs who aim for revolution, destabilization and civil war. He started to destroy them,” Yakemenko wrote.
“He used rockets and everything that he has. This is the most accurate path to ending American «revolutionary» technologies,» he said. Yakemenko goes on to praise Gaddafi's son Saif al-Islam for refusing to give up “the fight.” And rage on about how the US is behind the unrest.
“At first, with the active participation of those same US provocateurs, they organized attempts to overthrow the legal authority and divide the country. Then the leader of the country reacted as he thought was needed, in so far as he has the total and legal right to,” Yakemenko wrote. “After that, came the complaints, shouts and threats.”
“Gaddafi understands very well what is happening,” he wrote, referring to alleged US attempts to overthrow the Libyan regime. “We all see just another attempt by the US to take control of another country in the Middle East. But it seems they won’t succeed. Good man, Gaddafi.»
Oh, did I forget to mention this man is a member of the President Dmitry Medvedev’s Public Chamber, an oversight committee? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: hello reset!
