Two explosions reportedly hit government buildings in eastern China Thursday, injuring at least five people.

China's state media reported the blasts hit buildings in Jiangxi province's Fuzhou city.

Jiangxi Traffic Radio reported that two cars exploded about the same time near a state prosecutor's office and a district government office, AFP reports. The police then sealed off the blast sites.

The official Xinhua news agency said the blasts injured at least five but did not give more details on casualties or the cause of the blasts, Reuters reports.

The attack comes weeks after former employees set off a petrol bomb at a bank in northwest China, injuring more than 40 people.
