A Chinese man has been arrested after police discovered he kept six women imprisoned in a makeshift basement as "sex slaves," for two years, and murdered two of them, local media reports.
The man was arrested after two of the captive women ran away and went to police for help. Officials say they believe he kept the women, whom he met through working in local karaoke clubs, locked up for two years in his basement. He killed and buried two of the six women for "disobedience," reports said. The suspect is reportedly a former city government worker in Zhengzhou, who told police he dug the basement room himself. He raped each of his captives repeatedly over the course of two years, and forced them to work as prostitutes occasionally to earn money for him.
