West Point Chapel hosts first same-sex wedding

West Point Chapel hosted its first same-sex wedding on Saturday.
It is, however, the US Military Academy's second gay wedding, overall.
Last weekend, another lesbian couple were married in the Old Cadet Chapel at West Point's cemetery.
Penelope Gnesin and Brenda Sue Fulton, a West Point graduate, exchanged vows at the West Point chapel in front of 250 guests on Saturday, ABC News reported.
The ceremony, conducted by an Army chaplain, comes after New York legalized same-sex marriage last year, the Associated Press reported.
It also follows President Barack Obama's lifting of "Don't ask, don't tell," which banned gays and lesbians from openly serving in the military.
The couple have have been together for 17 years, the AP wrote.
Both brides live in New Jersey, where same-sex marriage is prohibited.
"We just couldn't wait any longer," Fulton told the AP.
