Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, turned 30 today, and palace officials said he would be celebrating in private with his wife Kate and some close friends, according to the Associated Press.
William has been working as a search-and-rescue pilot and is currently stationed at an air base in north Wales.
According to the Guardian, William will receive the Order of the Thistle from Queen Elizabeth II, the highest honor in Scotland.

He is also eligible to inherit around £10m ($15.7 million) from the estate of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
There are speculations that he is about to sign up for another tour with the Royal Air Force's Search and Rescue team, and there are also speculations that William and Kate will start a family, according to Agence France Presse.
