Pizza delivery boy allegedly rapes woman in her apartment

Police say that a 16-year-old pizza delivery boy raped a woman in her New York apartment as her 7-year-old daughter slept next to her, the New York Daily News reported. Cesar Lucas, 16, was later arrested at Sal's Pizzeria. Police say that he had delivered the pizza in the middle of the night, at around 12:30 a.m., Fox New York reported. After making the delivery, he then allegedly broke into a neighboring apartment.

The woman who lives in that unit said that she was asleep when she saw the suspect rummaging through her apartment, before the alleged attack occurred. "It's so shocking, [he's] so young," she told DNAinfo

The rape, she said, lasted about 30 seconds before she fought him off. “It took him about 30 seconds. I said, ‘Get off of me,’ and I pushed him," the victim told the Daily News. “He said ‘I’m sorry,’ and ran out.”

Lucas had worked at Sal's Pizzeria part-time for the past year, the New York Post reported. He has now been charged with rape and burglary. It's not his first run-in with the law. Last month, police said they found him with another woman's credit cards and driver's license. In that case, he was charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen credit cards and theft of service, the Post said.
