BOSTON, Mass. — The latest member of the famed Kennedy family to run for office is Joe Kennedy III.
He's the 32-year-old grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, great-nephew of John F. Kennedy and Edward (Ted) Kennedy and son of former six-term Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy II.
In November, Kennedy won the seat of the newly configured 4th Congressional District in Massachusetts formerly held by Barney Frank, defeating Republican candidate Sean Bielat.
In an effort to prove himself, the relatively inexperienced Kennedy campaigned across the district the old fashioned way: attending house parties, canvassing neighborhoods, shaking hands and introducing himself to anyone who crosses his path.
For eight months, Boston-based photographer Aynsley Floyd covered the campaign across the district. The following Planet Pic photo essay documents the young Kennedy on the campaign trail.
