Foreign money may be leaking into the Romney campaign, US Senator John McCain said in a recent interview.

Adelson had made large sums of money on properties on the island of Macau, which is administered by China.
According to Bloomberg, Adelson recently gave the Romney campaign $10 million.
“Much of Mr. Adelson’s casino profits that go to him come from this casino in Macau,” McCain said in the interview, according to Bloomberg.
“Which says that, obviously, maybe in a roundabout way, foreign money is coming into an American campaign.”

During the interview McCain also criticized the Supreme Court ruling known as Citizens United, which now allows unlimited donations to political action committees, known as "Super PACs," the Washington Post reported.
Adelson's large donation was to a political action committee known as Restore Our Future, which will subsequently spend money on advertisements supporting Mitt Romney.
Adelson has already spent over $25 million backing conservative candidates and has reportedly said he will spend an "unlimited amount" during this election cycle, reported Mother Jones.
US law states that foreign citizens are banned from making political contributions to US election campaigns.
