The driver of the truck hit by Kerry Kennedy, the ex-wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, last week has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Rocco Scuiletti, of Poughkeepsie, NY, was sideswiped Friday by Kennedy's Lexus on Interstate 684 north of New York City, The Associated Press reported.

Investigators say he drove off despite knowing he was involved in an accident and failed to report the crash, the Westchester Journal News reported.
Kennedy, 52, also drove off until her car got a flat fire. She was later found slumped over the wheel on an interstate exit by New Castle police, according to the Journal News.

State Police told Newsday Westchester that Scuiletti faces up to a $250 fine or 15 days in jail if found guilty.
Six years ago, Kennedy's cousin Patrick admitted to driving while impaired on Ambien, which is used to treat insomnia. The then-Rhode Island congressman pleaded guilty to drugged driving after crashing his car in Washington, DC.
